Mangaluru: Holiness of Holy Bible celebrated at Sacred Heart Church

Mangaluru, Jan 16: As a prelude to the annual feast of Sacred Heart of Jesus, the celebration of the holiness of the Holy Bible was held in Sacred Heart Church, Suratkal, on the outskirts of the city on Tuesday, January 15.

A grand procession of the statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus accompanied by candles was taken out at 4 pm, before the religious celebration.

Reading of the Holy book and prayers were done under the leadership of Fr Cyril Lobo, Fr Paul Pinto, parish priest of the church and the parish priest of neighbouring church.



Fr Cyril Lobo read the Holy Bible and gave the homily about how to use the readings of the Holy Bible and adapt them in our daily life. Nearly 1000 people took part in the celebration.
