Kundapur: Truck overturns after the road collapses on national highway

Kundapur, Jan 16: The nuisance created by the widening of national highway is continuing and on the night of Tuesday, January 15, a truck, laden with coal overturned.

This incident has occurred in front of the Bobbaryana Katte Daivastana near here when the road suddenly collpased due to the weight of the truck. The truck was playing from Mangaluru to Bhatkal and carrying coal. Luckily, both the driver as well as the cleaner of the truck have escaped unhurt.

Due to the overturning of the truck, traffic on the national highway was affected for some time. Traffic police of the town arrived on the spot and cleared the congestion and made way for the smooth flow of the traffic.



DySP Dinesh Kumar also visited the spot. A case in this regard is registered in the town police station.
