Belagavi: No political development after Sankranthi, says Siddaramaiah

Belagavi, Jan 13: "There will not be any revolution after Sankranthi festival in the state," said former chief minister Siddaramiah.

Speaking to the reporters, Siddaramaiah ridiculed and said, "BJP does not know to conduct any revolution for the country. There is no relation between BJP and Sankranthi. There will be no revolution or any political development. What revolution can be carried out by people who have not participated in the freedom struggle?"

"Discussion is on for the alliance of Congress and JD (S) for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. The candidates will be nominated depending on their winning ability in the respective constituency. A decision will be taken after having discussion on this issue. The decision of high command with regards to giving Mandya or Hassan constituency to JD (S) will be final," added Siddaramaiah.

The former CM further said, "The intention of all the other political parties is to defeat communal BJP. So if all the opposition gets united and face the elections, it will be more convenient. No one, including Akhilesh and Mayawati, should stay away from the Mahagatbandhan is my opinion."

"The central government is not allowing CBI to work independently. It is making all the independent organizations to dance to its tune. Former CBI director was suspended from the service and made to resign and the central government got scared that its part in the Rafale deal will be unearthed. This is a great plot hatched by the central government," accused Siddaramaiah.

Speaking on Congress MLA, Ramesh Jarkiholi, Siddaramiah said, "Former minister Ramesh Jarkiholi is my good friend. I am trying continuously to contact him as I want to speak to him. But he is not receiving my call. Ramesh does not have any enmity on me. But I do not know the reason as to why he is not answering my calls. No MLA will join BJP from the Congress party."
