NRIs are India's biggest strength : Rahul Gandhi addresses packed crowd in Dubai

Daijiworld Media Network - Dubai

Dubai, Jan 11 : Addressing the 40,000-plus packed crowd of Indian diaspora at the Dubai Cricket stadium, Rahul Gandhi said NRIs are India's biggest strength. “Without the help of NRIs India would not have reached where it is today,” he said.

The Congress president asked NRIs to help India tackle issues of agrarian distress and unemployment caused by the central government's decisions like GST and demonetisation.

"Congress will do everything possible to help the Indian diaspora in Dubai. We will talk to you and address your issues in our election manifesto," he said.

He further said that the first task is to deal with the rising intolerance in the country and bring India together regardless of religion, caste, ideology and thinking. “Some people talk about a Congress-Mukt Bharat. We do not want a BJP-Mukt Bharat,” Rahul Gandhi said.

“The values that bring together the people of UAE and India are humility and tolerance; tolerance for different ideas, religions and communities. I am sad to say that back home it has been four-and-a-half years of intolerance,” he said.

Rahul Gandhi started his speech saying, "In the UAE we are celebrating the Year of Tolerance, while back home in India, there has been four-and-a-half years of intolerance"

"Today India, my beloved country is being divided. I want NRIs to hear this. It is being divided for political benefit. Divided on religion. The poor and rich are being divided," Rahul Gandhi said.

"The first task we have to do is this. Every single Indian is responsible all over the world. We have to bring India together again. We have to be one again. India cannot be divided.. We are fighting one another, abusing one another. It doesn’t make sense.

"Till the day I die my doors, ears and heart are open for you. You will always have space," he said.

its very clearly visible from the photos who are the attendees of pappu comedy show in Dubai . These people are useless for building India and never had any visitionery for India. These attendees have no love to India. They are only against majority community of India and nothing else. We all know who are these people and does not make any diffirence to Modiji coming to power on 2019.

As a nuetral observer I feel that Rahul Gandhi has improved his oratory skills to a great extend and he and his party will surely give a tough fight to BJP in the forthcoming Lok Sabha election. He showed his maturity during his visit to UAE However. Mr Modi is still powerful eventhough his party lost 3 states recently. The election contest will be very interesting and the victory will not be a cake walk to both the parties and their allies. Let us hope for the best. Jai Ho.

Even a small job we require experience, but Rahul has no experience as a minister,Chief minister or any other posts. However people still want him just because of slave mentality where they are married to a family. They like to be bonded laborers. There are so many good congress leaders with experience.

We live in a free world and a democratic country my friend. You can vote for the most experienced person and another can vote for the candidate he prefers. Therefore don't pass judgement on others and be a tekedhar for other's choices. Maybe the ones voting for Rahul Gandhi have slave mentality, the same can be said of you wanting to vote for a divisive leader and his lynch party which thrives on the blood of innocents.

They are not able to comprehend what is hitting them. Rahul Gandhi's popularity and his maturity is giving them sleepless nights. While their leader has lost his shin and shine due to mismanagement, misadventure, arrogance, hatred towards minorities and women, uncalled for language against political opponents and the blame game he is playing to cover up his abject failures, the popularity of Rahul Gandhi is soaring due to his humility, accessibility, charm, poise and dignity. This they cannot digest, Simply cannot digest and therefore you see all these nonsense comments. These are futile cries of drowning persons.

    Modiji's version is entirely different.
In his as usual election speech in Ramleela ground he was repeatedly telling that
Congress did nothing but with 5 years BJP (Modi) did so many things. (Self-boasting)
Only the voters need to realize what/who is good for the country. We need a leader who can rule the country on secular principles and not on egoistic basis and power hungry culture!

It was indeed Mr. Rahul Gandhi's matured talk in an International event after my first chanced interaction in Singapore. He has transformed from being 'Pappu' too tall leader of Gandhi Parivar.

By keeping aside the politics, his vision for the nation as the young leader is really appreciated. His address in labor campus is who are the driving force for both nations is remarkable.

Though Mr. Rahul Gandhi still lacks late Nehru and Indira in dynamics, his political experience made him learn something to be the better leader of tomorrow's India.

Unlike PM Modi' address in the same stadium which is largely paid and organized by BR Shetty, Mr. Rahul Gandhi from the airport to the stadium is voluntary. But Gujaratis who are staunch supporters of PM Modi and BJP is largely missing in this crowd.

For Congress and Mr. Rahul Gandhi, it is the long way to go. But his address to the crowd of 25 minutes something positive for the nation.

Get yourself examined first. Rahul was a 14 year old school going kid in 1984. What are you going to question him about on the Delhi riots. I have witnessed the 1984 riots personally as I was living in Delhi then. I have seen the carnage with my own eyes. Please also note that it was not just the congress cadres that unleashed that violence, even the RSS cadres were fully involved in them. Sajjan Kumar, Jagdish Tytler, HKL Bhagat and Lalit Maken were the Congress leaders who were responsible. But don't hold a 14 year old kid responsible for those riots. He has nothing to answer for them.

In 2002 please remember that Modi was the CM of Gujarat and is solely responsible for what happened there. Has he taken responsibility for that mayhem and murder with his 56 inches chest?

I can say confidently, congress would rule India in 2019.

It has all the required leaders in it and their agenda is India centric, people centric, no temples/churches /mosques in it, however all are involved in the greater idea called India.

I once was a great supporter of Vajpayje, today we have one man who listens to no one and helps divide this great country and I am sure his days are ending.

In case you were suffering temporary deafness during his speech, he did not make tall and empty promises, but said I will listen to you, my doors are always open to you and I want your ideas and suggestions for our manifesto. I have asked Sam Pitroda to interact with NRI's spread across the globe and listen to them. These are his exact words.……………..He was not making jumla promises, but asking the NRI's who are also the nation's stake holders, what they want and expect from their government. In case you have any worthwhile suggestions and ideas please send them across.

I had attended Rahul Gandhi's address in Dubai International Cricket stadium. The crowd was just pouring in. I had driving from Jebel Ali towards this venue, reached around 3.30 pm. I had asked the security people, what might be the crowd. They said around 80,000 plus. The security found very difficult to control the crowd.
People were standing in level one, level two apart from balcony. Most of the people were standing inside the stadium. While Rahul Gandhi was speaking, those who were inside the stadium were sitting on the floor and hearing his speech.
Rahul Ghandi spoke very well with dignity and the entire crowd was listening. His popularity is growing day by day.

Ok my friend I know you are the great fan of modi ,but I am not, people thought something is gonna change the way modi spoke , people thought there will be development in country,Soon people realized what ever he spoke was not in favor of a commen man,it was just a jumla. It was only benfited for high profile business people. Right now millions of youngsters have lost their jobs, after demonetization many small business suffered by gst and demonetization.if gst was done properly at least this small business would not sufferd. Development of the country happens only when middle and lower middle class people and small business and farmers of the countryare lifted up.

When abdul kalama was asked regarding the development of the country this is what he said " How you lift the people in below poverty line" that matters for development of the country.

Right now only rich is becoming rich and poor are becoming more poor.

To their disappointment, no Make in India happeded in the first place, but they lost money through demonstration as they couldn't exchange old notes due to various reasons.

This road show and the attendees has no significance in the Indian polls. If you see most of them are from north Kerala . If this is a new beginning and RaGA is to be the pm, why is Cong not fighting alone??? Why is it forming a ghatbandhan? Even if the Ghatbandan wins then the more experienced candidates come into fray, Mamata Begum and CB Naidu . CB Naidu can deflect anytime , if BJP promises special status of Andhra he will boot the Cong. They will surely not let RaGa be the PM, they may not support this idea. It will be Ktaka part 2 with more parties. Also another bigger concern is , Akhilesh and Mayawati have left out Cong from their bandhan.

    5) THE GREAT CORRUPTION RAFALE SCARED CHAAIWAALA NOT TO PERMIT J.P.C. ENQUIRY.
    6) PRIME MINISTER'S EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS WERE IN LIMBO.
    7) HASTILY IMPLEMENTED G.S.T., ANGERED THE CITIZENS.
    8) BANKS WERE LOOTED.
    9) R.B.I GOVERNORS WERE DELIBERATELY FORCED TO RESIGN.

You are ilinformed and you act as if u have voted for Modi in 2014. It is known fact that Christians and Muslims vote in Blocks. So you saying nothing happened in 5 years is obvious.

There has been a lot of happening in 5years if you open your eyes. Talk to real people from North East, talk to Villagers, intalk to Army personnel.
You have to listen to real people who are in business with Modi.

For eg. Infosys Head Narayanmurthy has clearly said what Modi has done and why he should return to power once again.

whereas Rahul is concerned he is not meant for politics he is just meant to run some family business not to run the country. Neither he has vision nor grit to take india forward.

So Modi has to come back to continue the momentum.

A gist of Modis acheivements ,
    Low cost LED bulbs,
    Nuclear submarine into the fleet
    Business with Iran in INR,
No Major terrorist attack in last 5years
Inflation is within 4%, (inflation was 10% in 2012)
Bullet train, Tejas high speed train, Train 18 , clean railways , Apps & quick reply
    Bullet proof jackets for soldiers
Digitialization of currency & easy transactions.
For poor its direct benefit scheme(agree its UPA's wonderful implementation , but using the platform for all the other schemes by Modi is appreciable), Ujwala gas scheme, Medicines at low prices under
Surgical strike's in POK and myanmar was due to PM support
Swach Bhart Mission , Digital india , Startup india , Bankrutcy law , Jan Dhan yojna, one rank one pension implemented. Many more guys...

So decide yourself. Be indian first and then Christian or Muslims or a Hindu.

Modi should be given a chance is my take. I dont want to stop the momentum what has picked up in last 1-2years.

Desi Jawan...OK..you can call him Pappu, Joker or whatever name. But he never ran away from press unlike Modi who always runs away from them. Rahul has taken up serious issues of our nation and Modi has no answer and hence BJP is using religion politics to divert the attention. Demonetization who got benefit? It was leaked and big businessmen and politicians took measures well in advance but only poor and middle class people suffered. OK..I am not happy with loan waivers of Congress but at the same time I saw lot of tax payers money being wasted in useless statues, self advertising and useless foreign trips. What is foreign minister doing? She is just for namesake. Due to 100% failures of BJP now Congress is the best option. Other than crying and blaming previous governments, what Modi has done for the last 4 years? He worked only for Adani, Ambani.

People here who talk about development and stuff why do you want to want Congress back in power which has done so many scams in 2004-2014.
You have memory loss ? don you have spine to stand up against the Congress which has looted india? Did crores loss to the govt??? If you have forgotten what Congress has done in 10 years then sit and recal and don bring it back and vote wisely. If you still remember all those scams and u stil want the congress back in power then you should stop preaching about why we should not vote to Modi.

    Dear RK Shetty, Dubai,
I was present at the Dubai Cricket stadium for Rahul Gandhi's speech. The crowd was just pouring in. Even the security team got stunned as I had interacted few of them. The crowd is not less than 80,000 approx. and around more than 10,000 crowd was outside as the gate were closed before Rahul Gandhi's speech.
Whatever trust I had with BJP supporters is gone by the false comments by the bakts.

The crowd was more than 80,000. Might be one lakh. I had attended Rahul Ghanhi's speech at the Dubai International Cricket stadium.
People were standing in level one, level two and majority of the crowd were inside the stadium standing. Almost more than 10,000 could not come inside the gates were closed due to overcrowding. They were standing outside. Rahul Ghandhi in his address, first apolozised for the crowd who were standing outside the cricket stadium gate.
