Mangaluru: Unidentified body found in river near Fathima Beach

Mangaluru, Jan 9: A dead body was found in the river near Fathima Beach here on Wednesday, January 9. 

The body is yet to be identified.

Panambur police arrived at the spot. They have taken up investigations.

    Anyway, near Tannir bhavi there's a church called "our lady of Fathina church". Probably, because of this, location around the church is called fathima beach.

    Fathima beach ? where exactly ?
    Ihave heard beaches by names of places but first time coming across a beach with some ones name. (may be in olden times was own by someone by Fathima - a private beach)

    Fathima beach is in Thannirubhavi , may be they have named it so cos of a church ( "Our Lady of Fatima Church") nearby.
