Kundapur: Derogatory posts against religions on Facebook - police register case

Kundapur, Jan 8: Police personnel of CEN (cyber crime, economic offences, narcotic) of Udupi have registered a case against a Facebook user for allegedly disrupting communal harmony by making derogatory comments on Facebook.

The case stands registered against the Facebook account holder Lakshmikanth Byndoor, son of Rama Poojary, a resident of Gorkal of Kalthodu village in the taluk.

Various obscene posts and posters condemning different religions and eminent political personalities were posted in the account of Lakshmikanth.

It is learnt that as there is a possibility of hurting the religious sentiments due to these posts and disruption of law and order, Seetharam P, police inspector of CEN police station registered Suo Motu case under column 67 of IT act and 295 (A) of IPC in order to control the act of the accused and also to safeguard law and order.

    Secular India !!!.
    Prof Bhagwan can say abuse the Hindus.
    There wont be any case against him.
    Over and above, government will spend 50 lacs per year on him for his security.

    All those guys you mentioned already have cases against them.

    But None of them are bieng given 50 lacs security per year by the govt.
    That Honour belongs only to Prof Bhagwan.
