Mangaluru: Sahyadri MBA student wins ‘First Runner-Up’ Kannada Kogile title

Mangaluru, Jan 8: Akhila Pajimannu, first year MBA student of Sahyadri College of Engineering & Management won first runner-up title at Kannada Kogile, a musical reality show organized by Colors Super Channel produced by Sai Nirmala Productions.

The audition was held in the city and out of 30,000 contestants, Akhila was selected among top 42 contestants for the mega audition. Further, she entered the Top 23 and had everyone’s feet tapping with her performance of peppy numbers performed during the show. She was one of the participants who received the judge’s comment as - "One More Time" by Usha Uthup. It was a golden moment for her as no other contestant was selected for the next round with this kind of an impact.

The great music director of Kannada film industry - Sadhu Kokila, Kannada rapper - Chandan Shetty and melodious singer Archana Udupa were the judges for the rest of the show. During the series, the renowned music director - Gurukiran also joined the show.

Every round was different as she had to sing different genres of music. Out of 22 rounds in all, Akhila received 13 golden buzzers which was the highest in the show.

She now has around 10 fan pages created in Instagram for her.

In the grand finale she was one among five contestants. Finally, after a fruitful six months of journey, Akhila won the title 'First Runner-up of Kannada Kogile'.

Akhila expressed her gratitude to Sahyadri for extending support and helping her sail through her journey in 'Kannada Kogile'.
