Mangaluru: 'Intellectual Property Rights and Entrepreneurship' conference to be held on Jan 4, 5

Mangaluru, Jan 3: The department of Commerce and Business Administration of St Agnes College here in collaboration with Orgiin IP Academy, Bengaluru will on January 4 and 5 organise a two day international conference based on the theme 'Intellectual Property Rights and Entrepreneurship'.

Since there is dire need for entrepreneurs, start-ups and academic institutions focussing on research to understand and become aware of the key issues and recent developments in IPR, this conference focuses on various aspects of IPR and its benefits to businesses and entrepreneurs.

The Conference will be inaugurated at 9.30 am at the Conference Hall, Sophia Block, St Agnes College, Bendore, here by Dr Shashikala Gurpur director Symbiosis Law School and dean faculty of law, Symbiosis International University, Pune. Anupama Dias Abeyagunawardane, senior legal Counsel, IP, MAS Holdings Group Sri Lanka will deliver the keynote address. Sr Dr Maria Roopa joint secretary, St Agnes Institutions will be the guest of honour.

The valedictory will be held on 5 January at 3.00 pm. Dr Amitab Anand assistant professor SKEMA Business School, University of Cote d’Azhur, France will be the chief guest.

The resource persons are Bindu Sharma, founder and CEO of Orgiin IP Solutions LLP Bengaluru, Dr Vishal Rao, oncologist and CEO- Innaumation Medical Devices LLP Bengaluru, Swapna Sunder, MD, IP dome strategy Advisors Pvt Ltd Chennai, Rabin Katwal, country head ACCA, Nepal, Dr Amitab Anand, assistant professor SKEMA Business School, University of Cote d’Azhur, France.
