Bengaluru: Christmas celebration for differently abled and visually impaired held

Bengaluru, Dec 19: Dhyana Jyothi Trust and Good Sam Foundation jointly organised a Christmas celebration for the differently abled and visually impaired on December 16.

The celebration began with the holy Eucharist presided over by Fr Faustine Lobo, director of KROSS, Bengaluru. In his message, Fr Lobo, spoke about Christ, the Son of God becoming man in order to make the sons and daughters of man, the children of God.

In the cultural programme that followed, Immaculate Conception Prayer Group and St Mary’s Basilica, Shivajinagar Choir Group sang Christmas Carols with angelic voices and Santa Claus distributed sweets.



Fr Stifan Perera, the director of Dhyana Jyothi Trust along with the visually impaired family released Carmel Light – Bible Diary for 2019 both in English and Konkani. Later gifts and cash were distributed to the differently abled. The programme ended with a sumptuous meal.

Dhyana Jyothi Trust established by the Carmelite Fathers and Good Sam Foundation by David and Nelly Picardo, work for the well-being of the differently abled especially the visually impaired.
