Anil Ambani hails Rafale verdict, says establishes falsity of allegations

New Delhi, Dec 14 (IANS): Reliance Group Chairman Anil Ambani on Friday welcomed the Supreme Court judgment in the Rafale deal, saying it has conclusively established "complete falsity of the wild, baseless and politically motivated" allegations levelled against Reliance Group and him personally.

In a statement, he said the Reliance Group was committed to India's national security and to making its contribution towards the Make in India and Skill India policies of the government in defence, including the offset partnership agreement with valued partner Dassault Aviation.

"I welcome the judgment of the Hon'ble Supreme Court today summarily dismissing all PILs filed on the Rafale contracts, and conclusively establishing the complete falsity of the wild, baseless and politically motivated allegations levelled against Reliance Group and me personally.

"We remain committed to India's national security and to making our humble contribution towards the Make in India and Skill India policies of the Government in the critical area of defence including our offset partnership agreement with our valued partner, Dassault Aviation of France," Ambani said.

The Supreme Court on Friday dismissed four petitions seeking court-monitored probe into the purchase of 36 Rafale jet fighters in ready-to-fly conditions, holding that the decision making process was not in doubt and it cannot go into the question of pricing and choice of offset Indian partner by the French aircraft manufacturer Dassault.

Referring to their interaction with senior air force officers and the material placed before it, a bench of Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi, Justice Sanjay Krishan Kaul and Justice K.M. Joseph, said: "We are satisfied there is no occasion to doubt the decision-making process."

    The Supreme Court of India has only rejected the four petition on the basis of 'sealed cover' which the nation has not seen.
    The primary duty of the Supreme Court is to ascertain whether the laws are executed and obeyed properly and to see to it that no person is deprived of justice in any court of law. The rejection of the petition without any inquiry by the Supreme Court is the blatant violation of the constitution. If the court has to repeat the same line of center government why do we need the Supreme Court?

    These are the questions on Rafale the supreme court verdict leaves unanswered;
    1. Is Rafale or Center government made the decision to choose the 'Offset' partner?
    2. How does Anil Ambani company with 15 days maturity can qualify for the bidding of national interest?
    3. How does Anil Ambani company being a private company know the defense dealing in advance and part of Prime Minister Modi delegation to France?
    4. The Ambani company being facing bankrupt facing court order from 'Ericson' not to live country is qualified for Rs40,000 deal with 'Zero' experience?
    5. How do Ambani company aginst HAL with 70 years of experience and more than $1 Billion orders from the world's leading aviation sector is disqualified?
    6. If Lack of sovereign guarantee the dispute can only be heard in the third country appointed by the manufacturer outside India. If Ambani is failed to produce or lack of parts in time how did jets in operation will fly?
    7. What are the exact shares of Ambani in the new company? What is the financial heald of it?
    8. How many years of experience in aviation manufacturing did Ambani's new company have in India or abroad?
    9. How does loss-making Anil Ambani without any Infrastructure , capital in hand and even official web portal can manufacture most advanced jet in the world?
