Mangaluru: VHP, Bajrang Dal urge police commissioner not to permit New Year parties

Mangaluru, Dec 12: Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal submitted an appeal to Mangaluru police commissioner urging him not to permit parties of indecent dances and alcohol being held on December 31 in the name of celebrating New Year.

“It has come to our notice that such DJ parties are held in several hotel pubs and public places. Such programmes should not be permitted and the hotels should be closed before 11 pm,” they stated in the appeal.

Owners of hotels and pubs who were looking for huge business from New Year parties are worried because of the demand of the organisations.

Why dont VHP and BD leaders urge the Central Govt and NH authorities to complete the Pumpwell flyover by the end of December 2018? People of 5 states in the North India showed him the way. If we should not keep new year party then it fine, no issues. However, you guys only come in big group and target a couple who is attending the party and molest them in the name of culture.

Do you have guts to go to all 5 star and 3 start hotel and ask the owner or management to stop the function. You do not have . . . . . to do the same.

Either you get scared of them as they are powerful and rich and you are Job less no penny in the pocket.

I had seen a daughter of Mangalore BD member getting high in a pub at New year party in Bangalore last year. But these loosers think that their protest will be successful in Mangalore :)

Diwali over, Bhootha/Kola going on, very soon will be Jaathre-Theru. But, no New Year Party.

Hope these groups are not hibernating, that they have heard about MP/Rajasthan/Chatisgarh election results.

There was their threat last year too but people did not refrain from celebrating - they went Goa/Kerala. Better hoteliers and event management organizations convey their loss of business to the Police Commissioner in advance.
