Mangaluru: Indira Canteen inaugural - DC says protocol was not violated

Mangaluru, Dec 12: Deputy commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district, Sasikanth Senthil, clarified that the district administration had not violated any protocol during the inaugural of Indira Canteen at B C Road on Sunday December 9.

It may be recalled that BJP MP, Nalin Kumar Kateel, and Bantwal MLA, Rajesh Naik, had asked the officials to take action against the perpetrators of disturbance and sloganeering against them during the said programme. They had felt that there was protocol violation. It was said that BJP leaders were unhappy at former minisier, B Ramanath Rai, having been invited to the function.

In reply to questions posed by media persons on Tuesday December 11, the deputy commissioner said that the people's representatives were invited as per the government protocol. He noted that land dispute about the location of Indira Canteen had been sorted out amicably and the district administration had ensured that this was addressed legally. He added that some mistakes committed by lower level officials were set right.

    Protocol!
    Now if any new government acknowledges the initiative of previous govt., or its ministers who were in the fore front of developmental works who initiated the need for a canteen in his area it is curtsy on the part of Ruling party to invite that person to whom its credit is due (unlike our PM who finishes the last 10%, & doesn't invite the opposition or the one who finished the 90% while cutting the ribbon & blames he did it all by himself).
    If opposition party thinks if he is invited people will give credit to the past minister & to take a revenge on him is their birth right, they should oppose him tooth & nail without any reason or common sense.
    The minister had won many battles & whatever developmental works in his area are due to his efforts & efficiency to bring allocation of funds to develop can be seen in Road works, Water distribution benefiting the whole region which cannot be brushed aside, whether BJP likes him or not they need his guidance & efforts if they want the region to develop & benefit all the people in their are irrespective of their party affiliation is paramount.
    Confrontation is futile Consensus is way to Progress.

    Does it give food for poor or job for young people
    If that money was used for putting some industries many would have

    Please dont give this Idea ... Again they take into religion. They will not use milk becuase it comes from Cow.
    BD ,VHP will go on protest to provide only Pakoda & Chai with no milk.( Cow)
    Poor will not get anything because there are chances of GST & may be chai will be free.
