Mangaluru: St Agnes College students shine on 'Talents Day'

Mangaluru, Dec 11: The department of Commerce, St Agnes College recently organized a one day 'Talents Day' fest on the open air stage of the college. This fest was organized with the purpose of identifying, preparing and training the students to face future challenges and to provide a platform to showcase their talents.

Prof Manoj Louis, asst professor, Government First Grade Collage, Kavoor was the chief Guest, Dr Sr M Jeswina AC principal, was the president, Nimitha, the HOD of Commerce, Sheryl Preethika, dean of Commerce and Management, SAACSA faculty coordinators Vineetha and Delan Lobo, Naureen, the vice-president of Commerce were the dignitaries during the inaugural.

Nihad of I BCom welcomed the chief guest, the dignitaries and the gathering. The programme commenced with a prayer song by the team of I BCom D batch. Shreya and group of I BCom performed a dance to add more colour and life to the programme.



The programme was inaugurated by Prof Manoj Louis the chief guest and Sr Dr M Jeswina AC by lighting the lamp. Prof Manoj Louis encouraged the students to understand the relevance of education being applicable, to be passionate in life and to be people oriented and he also encouraged the students to follow the qualities of a lion to become a successful leader. Sr Dr Jeswina AC encouraged the students to participate in the activities and to explore their hidden talents.

Naureen, the student vice-president, briefed about the various competitions for the day. Savina Pereira of I BCom compered the programme and Prerana of I BCom proposed the vote of thanks.

A total of 297 students attended the programme.

The intradepartment fest concluded with a valedictory. Sr Dr M Venissa AC, the vice principal was chief guest. Sr Dr M Venissa AC congratulated all the winners of the various events and also the participants. She also encouraged the students to use such opportunities to hone their talents. Vineetha and Dalia D’Souza, the faculty of Commerce, announced the prize winners and Sr Dr M Venissa AC, gave away the prizes. Jasmine of I BCom welcomed the gathering, Rani Maria of I BCom proposed the vote of thanks and Preethi I BCom compered the programme.
