Belagavi: BJP decides to capitalize on belied loan waiver promise, CAG report

Daijiworld Media Network - Belagavi (SP)

Belagavi, Dec 10: BJP has planned to floor the coalition government during the winter session of the assembly set to begin here on Monday December 10, by capitalizing on the chief minister's failure to keep his word on waiver of farmers loans. The party also is thinking of tabling the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report which has pointed out that there is a yawning gap of Rs 35,000 crore between the income and expenditure of the state for the year 2016 - 17. The party leaders want to create a piquant situation for chief minister, H D Kumaraswamy, by pressurizing him to take action against former chief minister, Siddaramaiah, for the above lapse.

The other issues which the party wants to rake up are failure to handle drought, inertia in implementing relief works in flood-affected regions, failure to address problems of sugarcane growers, negligence towards development of north Karnataka, inability of farmers to avail new loans, non-release of grants to legislators, disparity in release of grant to constituencies for development etc. The main agenda of the saffron party will be to highlight the failures of the current government.

BJP has planned a huge protest on the opening day of the winter session on Monday, on the issues of problems faced by sugarcane growers and failure to keep electoral promise made by Kumaraswamy to waive farm loans within 24 hours of coming to power even after six months.

The government has not given enough impetus to drought relief measures in 100 taluks declared as drought-hit so far. The party will bank on study reports prepared by its six teams which toured the state's drought-hit areas, to show the government in poor light. It plans to raise CAG report about non-submission of records pertaining to Rs 35,000 crore rupees in the budget pertaining the year 2016 - 17. Other issues which will be raised include implementation of Nanjundappa report, neglecting development of north Karnataka, partisan attitude in release of grants to MLAs, interference of minister, H D Revanna, in transfers pertaining to other departments. BJP also will provide statistics to prove that farmer suicides have gone up after Kumaraswamy assumed charge as chief minister.

No value for BJP's promises and people have already experienced their numerous earlier false promises. Just ignore their election time promises. We need a change so vote for congress and let the process continue.
Yeddurappaji, your destiny is already written. Ex CM and remain so forever!
