Dubai: Emirates Putturians hold grand Christmas party

Dubai, Dec 9: Dubai witnessed one of the finest organized events on December 7 as Emirates Putturians celebrated their Christmas Party well in advance at the ‘Kris with a View’ All Day Dinning at the Park Regis Hotel.

The event started with DJ Lancy and the Band Open High belting out popular songs at the event.

The children were enthralled to see Santa Johnson Mascarenhas coming along and gifting them Christmas goodies and gifts. Emirates Putturians very own magician Antony Mascarenhas kept the children and adults astounded with various magic tricks.

The event saw guest and local singers Lancy Madtha, Joseph Mathias, Monica Valder, Deena Coelho, Milton, Uttam and Lancy Noronha singing some of the most popular Konkani songs.

Choreographed dance by Ancil Mascarenhas and Lanita Noronha was very well appreciated by all the guests.

Emirates Putturians veteran and former president Alex Gonsalves was felicitated by Lancy Madtha and Joseph Mathias for his contribution and long time service to the community.

Gulf Voice of Mangalore winner Sabitha Mathias and finalist Aenson Mathias were felicitated for their outstanding contribution to Konkani music by Monica Valder and Vincent Barboza.

Awesome buffet and the smooth flowing drinks at the bar along with outstanding music by the Band Open High and DJ Lancy ensured everyone’s spirits high and kept everyone on their toes at the dance floor.

The sponsors and patrons of the event were felicitated by Alex Gonsalves, Antony Mascarenhas, Gilbert Mascarenhas, Jeevan Vas, Vinod Pais, Sudhir Pais and Glen Lobo.

Earlier, the distribution of the novelty prize coupons on the Santa caps were lead by Nirmala Mascarenhas, Pramila Barboza and Raina Veigas. The lucky winners took fabulous prizes home.

MC Uttam Menezes with his signature flare of the Mastery skills finely conducted the event.

The event concluded after highly energized, high octane, hour-long, non -stop dancing by the young and young at heart participants.

Emirates Putturians president Ajit Coelho thanked all the sponsors, patrons, participants and fellow Putturians on behalf of Emirates Putturians for making the event a memorable one.

It was indeed a meet-and-greet opportunity for the parishioners of Puttur, Maril and Bannur residing in UAE ahead of the festive season.
