Mangaluru: Fire erupts at Lady Goschen hospital, ICU gutted

Mangaluru, Dec 9: In a tragic incident, fire erupted at Lady Goschen hospital on Sunday, December 9. It is said that the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) was gutted by fire.

Short circuit and gas leakage is suspected to be the reason for the fire. Fire-fighters rescued four children who were stuck at the spot.

The hospital building was vacated to avert further tragedy.

Fire-fighters from Pandeshwar were pressed into action. The situation is now said to be under control.

    As per some they go see only outside shape... this hospital is very good kindly visit and see now ... don't go for outlook... facilities are far better then private hospital...

    Now it looks like that the Hospital is in the middle of Bus Stand and market. First shift the Bus stand or Hospital from there. It is very much surprise that in recent days all short circuit happen only at that area only.

    LADY GOSCHEN IS 1000 TIMES BETTER THAN YOGI'S U.P HOSPITAL WHERE SO MANY CHILDREN DIED BECAUSE OF LACK OF OXYGEN IN CYLINDERS.

    The entire hospital is like a market place. Mother's with the new born infants are roomed in the corridors that is the fate of our health care system in our country. I was shocked to see the state of this hospital but people with less income have no other choice. Hope the Govt. will open their eyes our ministers go abroad for their treatment

    A new building has been constructed near the old building, the patients are being shifted, the first ones to go were the mothers on the corridor.
