Mangaluru: Lady constable exhibits humanitarian side - feeds destitute senior citizen

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (SP)

Mangaluru, Dec 8: In an incident which goes to show that there could be kind hearts behind the uniforms worn by police personnel, Bhagyashree, attached to the traffic police station here, was seen extending kindness, care and comfort to an old, weak gentleman. This happened at Netravati bridge at Jappinamogaru here on national highway 66.

An old man, aged around 65, perhaps suffering from weakness and hunger, had collapsed to the road when moving on Jappinamogaru bridge. Traffic police constable Bhagyashree, who saw the pitiable condition of the man, rushed to his help. She gave him water to drink and food to eat. Later, after he recovered, she also arranged to shift him to a hospital.

Bhagyashree's gesture in taking time off to help an old man in distress has come in for lavish praise from all the quarters.

    I appreciate traffic officer Bhagyashree for her humbleness and request the senior officer to reward her for this cause.
    At the same time for 'moral police' and 'Gau Rakshaks' lesson to be learned from this father figure and sister like Bhagyashree serving nation beyond her responsibility.

    Very great lady. God bless her. Amidst of horror and unbearable, unbelievable happenings in Mangalore, there exist some good samaritans. Good inspiration to others.
    Like this lady, may the family members of this man come forward and take him home and not leave him suffer on the road.

    Great gesture.
    We need more stories like this in the news than only political news hogging the limelight.
    We need stories where some positivity is spread instead of more hatred and division.
    Its upto the Media how they want to project.

    @Praveen.
    Dear Education is not everything in this world, there are many things which school doesn't teach us. Coming to the point, When you help some one your intention should be only help rather expecting gain out of it. Look at the greats like Mother Theresa, Mahatma Gandhi... many more on the list. Their intention was only to help poor and upliftment not the publicity. I hope you are capable to understand my point.

    Do you think that photos taken and circulated by her to get publicity.
    Off course education is most impotent in life , in school we learn how to behave, how to cooperate with other and how to respect . May be you did not learn in your school.
    we should appreciate If some one is doing good work.
