Mangaluru: Retired PWD secretary Godfrey Rasquinha killed in accident at Bengaluru

Mangaluru, Dec 6: Boniface Godfrey Rasquinha (72), retired chief executive officer of Bengaluru Bruhat Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), who also had worked as secretary in public works department, lost his life in a road accident at Bengaluru on Tuesday December 4. He was from the city.

Rasquinha has left behind wife, three sons, and a daughter. The accident happened on November 28, and his end came at the hospital on Tuesday.

 

When in public works department, he had worked in the city and Bengaluru. Later, he had become secretary of the department. He also functioned as the chief executive officer of BBMP. After retirement, he had settled down at Pandeshwar here.

The accident happened during Rasquinha's visit to Bengaluru. When he was standing by the side of the road at around 9 pm on November 28, a speeding motor bike had hit him.
