Mangaluru, Dec 5: The city police commissioner T R Suresh has, through an order issued on Wednesday, December 5, brought into force prohibitory orders within the limits of the commissionerate on December 6. The prohibitory orders are issued under section 35 of Karnataka Police Act 1963.

A complete ban has been imposed on public and religious functions, political meetings, processions and similar events from the 6 am of December 6 to the midnight of December 6 in the district.

According to the order, there are chances of Hindu organisations celebrating victory day and Muslim organisations observing black day on December 6, the day when Babri Masjid was demolished, and hence, the order.
