Bengaluru: Cabinet expansion to happen on December 22 - Siddaramaiah

Bengaluru, Dec 5: The much awaited cabinet expansion of HD Kumaraswamy-led coalition government will happen on December 22, announced Congress leader and former Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaih on twitter.

“Decision has been taken to expand the cabinet on 22nd of this month. Distribution of portfolio and appointment to various boards shall be done after discussing with Shri Rahul Gandhi,” Siddaramaiah posted on twitter on December 5.

The cabinet expansion and appointment of lawmakers as heads of boards and corporations was pushed back by Congress-JD(S) coalition, as bypolls to two assembly and three parliamentary seats in the state was announced.

This would be the second cabinet expansion since the coalition came to power in May in a post-poll tie-up between Congress and JD(S).

Under the power sharing arrangement reached by the two parties, Congress will have 22 ministers and the JD(S) 12. Currently there are six vacant ministerial positions left for the Congress, and two for the JD(S).

Meanwhile, several Congress lawmakers, aspiring for ministerial posts, have been demanding the expansion to be taken up at the earliest.

    1. MB( Suitcase) Patil.
    2. Rumlinga Reddy( Former Homa Minnister/ Ramanath Rai's Counterpart),
    3.Roshan Beig ( Future Jaffer Sharief/ Wanna be Minnister since 1978).
    4.RS Patil ( Sidda's Lingayath Chamcha)
    5. CM Ibrahim ( Sorry Ibby, next time...)
    6. Meti ( Sorry Meti, you lost last elections / More Gym practice needed...)

    Rest 2 will be selected from their ability to carry suitcases to Delhi...
