Mangaluru: BJP remembers Lord Ram only in difficult situations - Siddaramaiah

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru (ANK)

Mangaluru, Dec 3: Former chief minister Siddaramaiah slammed BJP and said that they remember Lord Ram only when they are in difficult situation.

Siddaramaiah was speaking during the convention titled 'Connect 2018' jointly organised by KCF, SSF and SYS here on Monday, December 3 at Nehru Maidan.

He said, “Some minister said that changes should be made to the Constitution. We should be committed to protect our Constitution.”

Siddaramaiah also said, “We are human beings. To be happy and satisfied, we have to live like a human being. No religion teaches to hate each other. Basavanna had said that sympathy is the source of every religion. There is no religion without sympathy and humanity.

“Some have divided the society due to selfishness. Whoever hates other religions are called communal. All religions are equal and we should not hate other religions.

"The government runs as per the Constitution. We cannot appease anyone for the sake of vote bank. Minorities are part of the country. I had allotted Rs 3,100 crore for the minorities when I was in power. If I was in still in power, I would have given Rs 10,000 crore for minorities,” he said.

For the BJP-RSS, Sabarimala is not a place of worship but a battleground.
The Hindu Right, which celebrated the apex court’s triple talaq judgment for liberating Muslim women, is now protesting the court’s interference in religious practices even in Sabarimala for politics.

The party leader who can't even recite one completely 'shloka' from Ramayana is known to present themselves like devotee like 'Kalidasa'.

To this date, no one knew what happened to the bricks and money collected in the name of Lord Rama. Only elections bring BJP to Ayodhya. There is some truth in the words of former CM Siddaramaiah.

It is fact that BJP can't win elections without 'religion'. So for every crucial election, they need 'Godhra', 'Muzzafarnagar', 'Ayodhya' and now 'Bulundshar' need to be burned.
