Doha: KMCA celebrates 63rd Karnataka Rajyotsava Day

Doha, Nov 29: Karnataka Muslim Cultural Association (KMCA) organised an event to celebrate Karnataka Rajyotsava in the state of Qatar on November 22, where noted artists and Personalities from India and Qatar performed and felicitated. The event was held at Indian Cultural Center (ICC).

KMCA had invited the mentally moderate and severally challenged children to Qatar from Saanidhya School which is recognised by directorate of welfare of the disabled and the senior citizens, government of Karnataka, India. As many as 15 children along with three guardians visited Qatar to perform.

The children received standing ovation from the audience for their spectacular performance. The president of KMCA Ibraiz Khan said, “It was more than what we expected” praising the performance of the children.”



The event was attended by U T Khader, minister of Urban Development and Housing for state of Karnataka, India as Chief Guest, the guest of honor of the evening were Dr Devi Prasad Shetty, president of Belupu gram panchayat and Asim Anwar, third secretary Indian Embassy Doha.

The programme was attended by the members of KMCA and members of all other Karnataka based organisations.

The programme was also attended by the heads of organisation of Karnataka based organisations – Karnataka Sanga, Tulu Koota, South Canara Muslim Welfare Association, Bunts Qatar, MCC and MCA.

Everyone applauded the efforts of KMCA for bringing in the hidden talent from India and giving them opportunity to platform in International stage.

The proceedings of the programme was started by compere of the evening Majunath by inviting Emad Ahmed for reciting verses from the Holy Quran. Subsequently standup comedian Chandrashekar Angadi entertained the audience with his comedy.

The compere invited the chief guest, guest of honors, KMCA president Ibraiz Khan along with advisory chair of KMCA Abdullah Monu and KMCA general secretary Khaleel Ahmed to take up the dais. KMCA president extended a warm welcome to all the respected guests. In addition to KMCA members, all presidents and VIPs of the Karnataka based organisations were present. During the event, KMCA felicitated Sheikh Usman for his excellent service done in the field of social service and upholding communal harmony. All Karnataka based organization presidents felicitated Dr Devi Prasad Shetty.

The event was concluded with the compere thanking the guests, dignitaries and the audience.
