Puttur: Bike rider injured in monkey attack loses life

Puttur, Nov 22: Santosh (25), a motor bike rider, who had suffered serious injuries after a monkey suddenly attacked him at Gundia, lost his battle for life on Wednesday November 21 at a hospital.

Santosh was from Chennai. He had undertaken a pilgrimage along with some friends on motor bikes. When the entourage was moving toward Subrahmanya from Dharmasthala, a monkey suddenly pounced on him near Gundia. The motor bike fell onto the road. Santosh, who suffered serious injuries, was rushed to a hospital here.

It is said that the monkey involved in this incident died on Tuesday itself. On the basis of a complaint filed by Murugan, who was travelling with Santosh, Uppinangady police have registered a case.
