Mangaluru: Srinivas University holds national conference on 'Education and Employment'

Mangaluru, Nov 22: A national conference on the theme 'Education and Employment: Challenges for Social Science, IT and Management' was recently organized at the campus of Srinivas University situated at Pandeshwar, here.

The conference was organized by the College of Social Sciences and Humanities. Prof Dr Jayashree K, principal, Srinivas College of Education was the chief guest and inaugurated the conference. In her inaugural address she opined that the youth and students of today's world should plan their future by choosing appropriate courses of learning for their growth and also for the development of the country.

Dr P S Aithal, vice chancellor of Srinivas University who presided over the function insisted that the students along with their course curriculum, should also involve in research to obtain answers to many questions which remain unanswered in the field of research.

Manoj Nagaraja, HR consultant in UK, who was the guest of honour for the function briefed on the employment opportunities available in UK especially in Poland and other foreign countries.

Prof Dr Laveena D'Mello, faculty convenor of the conference welcomed the gathering and gave a brief description of the conference.

Prof Pradeep M D, MSW faculty delivered the vote of thanks.

An abstract book of the present conference and proceedings of the previous conference were released during the function.

The research scholars and teaching faculty from different colleges of Mangaluru presented around 50 research papers at the conference which will be published with ISBN proceedings.
