Bengaluru: Hindu kings have also killed Hindus, says Siddaramaiah

Bengaluru, Nov 21: "BJP is making a false propaganda that Tipu Sultan has killed Hindus. Right from king Ashoka, all the Hindu kings have also killed people," said former chief minister Siddaramaiah.

Siddaramaiah was speaking after partaking in the programme that was organized by backward class section of Congress party on Tuesday, November 20 to celebrate the birthdays of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and former chief minister of Karnataka Devraj Urs.

Siddaramaiah also suggested of conducting training seminars for the activists of the party to let them know the history of Tipu Sultan.

    Ashoka vented his anger against the king of Kalinga on the people of his enemy’s kingdom. Unlike Tipu he killed the innocent people because of his deep rooted enmity against their king and not because of their religion. After conquering the kingdom of Kalinga, Ashoka repented for his war crimes and became a benevolent ruler. He never committed atrocities against the people of his kingdom after the bloody war against Kalinga. Whereas Tipu committed atrocities against the people of other communities in his own kingdom. So Ashoka and Tipu are incomparable. What Siddu says is a story, not history.

    Regardless of former CM Siddarmaiah comment, Chhatrapati Shivaji has Muslim commander and full Arab horse battalion. The Bima-Koregaon commemoration of Dalits from century is to commemorate the defeat of the same Arab battalion of the Shivaji Army.

    In Mysore kingdom of Tipu Sultan his commander his and most of his cabinet ministers Hindu.

    The war in the earlier days are not fought on religion but purely kingdom and wealth expansion.

    In the first Anglo-Indian war Marathas part of Tipu's army along Nawab of Hyderabad. In subsequent war, Marathas withdrew the support but Nizam sided with British.

    The fall of Tipu Sultan in the South and Siraju Dawla in the North is the beginning of the British Raj of 200 years. Followed by the GENOCIDE, THE BRITISH DON’T WANT YOU TO KNOW ABOUT – THEY SYSTEMATICALLY STARVED TO DEATH OVER 60 MILLIONS OF EASTERN INDIANS!

    It is the British who had successfully implemented the 'Divide and Rule' policy in which the nation is still suffering even after 70 years of Independence.

    When Shivaji attacked the Sringeri mutt, his army also gifted 'Darga' in Maharashtra before proceeding to the war.

    day before yesterday we read the news that in Dakshina Kannada & Udupi dist. Hindu people offered water/butter milk to their Muslim brothers during Eid procession. by reading that news we were felt happy since it was a best example of peace & harmony prevailing in this society. but today this person come up with the same policy of dividing the people. when this kind of people learn lesson & allow the people to live in peace.

    Hindu Kings were fighting among themselves (Hindu vs. Hindu) to reign the supremacy. Was there unity? Not all.
    If there was unity among all such thundu Rajas of pre-historic times, the foreign powers or invaders could have been easily destroyed and stopped their advances.
    No bhakts have realized the mistakes happened 500 plus years ago from our forefathers. Now with highest pride they want change Indian history by changing names of places, Airports etc. By adopting new names the old history will never wash away.

    Yes we agree even hindu kings also killed the people but for what purpose? It was common that during the expansion of their kingdom they will ask the opposite party to surrender or else war will start & many people killed this war. But in that process Hindu Kings never targeted the particular community or converted them/raped them.

    Incase they done that then we should not celebrate their jayanthi. Why cant you find out some good personality of that community & celebrate their jayanthi. Please note that govt should do the work which is acceptable for all the people else it is against democracy. Don’t do the vote bank politics.

    Siddu did not say he loves Tippu. He responded to the query which was haunting BJP only since Congregss Govt. came to power last time. if there is truth in his statement we have to accept it and move forward. You cannot deny the truth.
    Last fight King Ashkoa did was against his own elder brother, he got information that his brother is hiding in different region hence he waged war and killed several people of his own religion he then became Buddist and gave up all his bad habits.
    I am not supporting Tippu here, he is also one of the cruel king who tortured people from his own state.

    Kings never were right wing. Their aim is expanding kingdom. Temples were looted or saved by all kings.

    Most of the Hindu kings had Muslim warriors in their army, and Muslim kings had Hindu Warriors.

    What is the big deal. Everything is fair in wars. Even today churches, temples and mosques are getting demolished in order to renovate roads.
    As of today in Modi's Gujarat around 100 temples most of them in capital Gandhinagar are demolished. Stop playing victim card.
    Siddu is quite right there instances of such atrocities where hindu rulers invaded other terrotories killed anx looted their own community members. Its a bitter truth which Bhakhts wont ready to swallow it.
