Udupi: St Mary's English Medium School, Kannarpady celebrates Children's day

Udupi, Nov 19: 'Children's Day' was celebrated at St Mary's English Medium School, Kannarpady with great fervor.  Formal programme was presided over by the correspondent Fr Valerian Mendonca. During his presidential address he advised students to inculcate good values in childhood and  focus on character building rather than leading an aimless life.

Principal Myrtle L F Lewis expressed her happiness for the active involvement of students in all co scholastic activities and wished them success in all their future endeavors. Teacher members of the choir group conveyed their blessings through a wishing song. Formal programme was followed by variety entertainment. Humorous skits depicting value messages were the centre of attraction. Dances represented cultural values. A special Fashion show at the end celebrated the beauty of nature.



More than 100 teachers filled the atmosphere with fun and joy by their mesmerizing talents. Fun filled lucky games were conducted for children and winners were rewarded with attractive prizes. Vice-principal Deepa Bhandary compered the programme. Assistant parish priest Fr Vijay D'Souza, assistant parish priest, Mother of Sorrows chuch was present on the occasion.
