Dubai, Nov 19: Karnataka based Nasir Sayyed won third prize in the exciting international Ducati championship motor bike race held at Dubai motor city on November 17. Seventeen people from 12 countries had taken part in the race.

Nasir Sayyed hails from Karkala by origin. He has won several prizes in bike race during the last four years. He surprised Kannada news reporters by speaking in Kannada.

Nasir said that he has been running his business in UAE for the last fifteen years and is one among two people representing India. He said that the sport has a bright future in India if the government promotes it.

“I feel sad to read reports of bike accidents in India due to negligence and speed. If the government uses their talent and enthusiasm properly by providing sports facilities, they can be identified in international circles,” he said.

The love for bike racing since childhood has helped 41 year old Nasir to compete in Ducati championship. His 18 years old son Sami Nasir who is also a bike racer has won first prize in bike race in Bahrain.
