Mumbai, Nov 19 (NIE): Ahead of his Ayodhya visit, Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday coined a new slogan, “Har Hindu ki yahi pukar, pehle mandir fir sarkar” (This is every Hindu’s call — first comes the temple and then government). Sources, however, said Uddhav has requested activists of the Yuva Sena and the party’s women’s wing to refrain from coming to Ayodhya.

The Sena chief shared these details during a meeting with senior party leaders and party functionaries ahead of his Ayodhya visit scheduled on November 24-25, sources said.

Calling it a religious event, Vinay Shukla, Sena’s coordinator for North India, said, “Party activists of the Yuva Sena and women’s wing have been asked not to come to Ayodhya due to logistical reasons. There is no other reason behind it.” “It is not a political show of strength but a religious event,” he added.

Sources said Yuva Sena president Aaditya Thackeray is likely to go to Ayodhya along with Uddhav. Meanwhile, activists of the Yuva Sena, women’s wing and party units in other states have been asked to perform aarti on November 24 in the evening.

“Uddhav will perform aarti at 5.15 pm on the banks of the Saryu river in Ayodhya on November 24. All Sena shakhas across Maharashtra and party units across the country have been asked to perform aarti at the same time,” a Sena leader said.
