Mangaluru: Robbery case - absconding Maxim Rodrigues arrested

Mangaluru, Nov 18: A person accused in a 2017 robbery case, who was absconding, was arrested by the police near KSRTC bus stand on Saturday, November 18.

The accused Maxim Alwyn Rodrigues (41) from Kasaba village in Bantwal, had stolen a purse and a mobile phone from a woman in Bharat Mall on May 26, 2017. He was absconding after the incident.

On Saturday, the anti-rowdy squad managed to track him down and he was arrested near Jolly Wines located close to KSRTC bus stand.

The cops recovered 2 mobile phones and Rs 150 cash.

A case has been registered at Urwa police station.
