Bengaluru: Cold-shouldered by BJP, miffed Janardhan Reddy meets Yeddyurappa

Bengaluru, Nov 18: Former minister, B Janardhan Reddy, who succeeded in getting bail in connection with Ambidant scam, met leader of the opposition in the assembly and former chief minister, B S Yeddyurappa. The meeting took place on the night of Friday November 17.

Reddy, it is gathered, told Yeddyurappa that the current coalition is trying to frame him in this case because of political reasons, although he has nothing do with the scam. Explaining that he was being cornered, he lamented the fact that BJP, to which he had immensely contributed, did not come forward to support him at this time of need.

He told Yeddyurappa that he was being made a scapegoat as a revenge for actively canvassing for BJP candidates in the recent election and bypoll. In spite of this, he questioned the stand taken by BJP and its leaders not to lend him moral support.

Yeddyurappa, it is said, tried to convince Janardhan Reddy by assuring him that the party leaders are with him, adding that registration of case against him is a sensitive matter and hence the party leaders might dither from openly getting associated with such things. He advised Reddy to continue his legal fight against the case and remain careful.
