Kasargod Nov 17: State president of Hindu Aikyavedi K P Sasikala, who was proceeding to Sabarimala in defiance of police orders, stands arrested.

Both Hindu Aikyavedi and Sabarimala Action Committee have given a call for Hartal in entire Kerala state from 6 am to 6 pm on Saturday November 17, in protest against her arrest.

As a result of this Hartal, bus movement has been totally crippled. None of the buses including the government ones took to streets.

Sasikala, who had reached Marakootam at 2 am today was taken into custody by the police. The police claim that she was arrested as a precautionary measure.

The police had said that no one would be allowed to go near Lord Ayyappa shrine at Sabarimala after 10 pm. As such, Sasikala, who was trying to reach Sabarimala, was instructed to go back. As she refused to obey the orders, she was arrested, it is learnt.

Achara Samrakshana Samiti state convener, Prahvipal, and BJP leader, P Sudheer were also arrested from Pamba. BJP has said that it is supporting this dawn to dusk Hartal call.

During midnight crackdown on Baba Ramdev s protest at Delhi
Hon supreme court took suo Moto action
Now the entire Kerala State has been shut down
I don't know why can't the State govt have dialogue directly with those protestors and find an amicable solution. They are not involved in any criminal activity. They are fighting for their FAITH
Unless other country our constitution has religious practice as a fundamental right
And all these happening in God,s own country KERALA, Devarinde Naad ?

Sachin Shetty, Mangalore, I respect your views "respect court verdict". But there is something known as faith, belief...so we should not hurt the feelings of lakhs of Ayyappa devotees or any other faith. I don't think none of them who pronounced this judgment has ever visited Sabarimala. Court verdict, hmmm... I remember one celebrity who mowed down nearly 5 people or so who were sleeping in the pavement and this celebrity was inebriated...everyone knows this...an "open secret"...but what happened to that case. Did the victims get justice?...An apt title would be a movie title of yesteryear's..."Andha Kanoon"...

So the changes have to done more to the oldest civilization of 5000 years as it is longest. 70 years are just spent for few modifications and several yet to be made. I do not support anything other than opposing your particular view. But I just quote a saying of Steven Weinberg "Religion is an insult to human dignity. Without it you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people doing evil things, that takes religion". God is one to male, female, sect, race, culture, civilized, uncivilized and for all. But we make barriers everywhere with selfishness.

All these agents like Trupti Desai and this lady are part of the masterplan to create violence in Kerala.
Kerala people should be aware of all these chaddy gangs from Goa/Nagpur who have settled along the coast in Karnataka,Kerala.
Look what happened to our once peaceful Kudla.
