Karkal: Nandalike Abbanadka Friends Club harvests paddy saplings

Karkal, Nov 16: Nandalike – Abbanadka Durgaparameshwari Friends Club has become popular due to their programmes in the vicinity. Students of Kalya Government High School and members of the club had planted paddy saplings in last June and were commended for their work by local people.

Members of the club have joined together and harvested the saplings in the leadership of Rajesh Kotian, president of the club in November.



All the work related to agriculture is conducted by young men in the club. Sandeep V Poojary Abbanadka, convener, Nadalike Abbanadka Friends Club said that they have succeeded in their hard work. “We will be distributing rice and the amount obtained from its sale to poor families and the sick. We have plans to conduct cultivation in a special way next year.”
