Indonesian shuttlers perform well at Hong Kong Open


Jakarta, Nov 15 (IANS): One Indonesian shuttler went through to the quarterfinal of the Hong Kong Open badminton tournament and two women's doubles pairs also won their second round matches on Thursday.

Jonatan Christie defeated his compatriot Anthony Sinisuka Ginting in the Hong Kong Coliseum, 21-15, 25-23 in 54 minutes, and will face either Kento Momota or Kanta Tsuneyama in the quarterfinal, reports Xinhua news agency.

In the women's doubles pairs, Indonesian Greysia Polii/Apriyani Rahayu and Riski Amelia Pradipta/Della Destiara went through to the quarterfinals of the tournament.
