Udupi: Police seize 1.214 kilo ganja, one arrested

Udupi, Nov 15: Acting on definite information, district CEN Crime police arrested one person and confiscated 1.214 kilo of ganja from him.

The arrested person is identified as Praveen D'Souza. The value of the confiscated ganja is said to be Rs 42,000. Praveen was arrested from a public place near Perampalli railway bridge under Shivalli village limit of the taluk at 12 noon on Wednesday November 14.

This operation was conducted by Seetharama P, inspector of Udupi district CEN crime police under the guidance of Kumar Chandra, additional SP and directions of Laxman Nimbargi, SP of the district.

Police sub-inspector Ramachandra Bhat, ASI Keshava Gowda and personnel took part in the operation.
