Mangaluru: Police arrest man selling ganja, confiscate items worth Rs 90,000

Mangaluru, Nov 15: Narcotics and Economic Crime police officials and staff nabbed a youth selling ganja on Wednesday, November 14.

The arrested has been identified as K Mithun Shetty (41), a resident of Ballal Bagh who was trying to sell ganja near Mannagudda warehouse junction.

The police seized 1.3 kg ganja in his possession, one Yamaha RX bike and one mobile phone from him. The value of items seized from him is Rs 90,000.

The operation was conducted in the leadership of central sub division ACP Bhasker Okkaliga by police inspector Mohammed Sharif, police staff ASI Sham Sunder, Laxmisha, Jagadish, Shaju Nayar, Prashanth Shetty, Joyce D’Souza, Kishore Poojary and Bhasker.

    human trafficking ,girls and child racket , smuggling of drugs all allowed in our cultured country only not allowed conversion to good thing which effect these people membership for this business even fund for some communal organization. if its conversion matter of one person all desh bhakts will join hands for protest ,if its belongs sell for prostitution these people tongue not moving against these underworld people.

    I Know few people who travel from Mangalore / Udupi to Goa frequently only for this kind of business but they are well connected to local political heads. Though they are caught red handed, before they reach police station, police officers get too many calls from all around. Till today police were not able to reveal the names of main suppliers.
