Deepika - Ranveer get married in traditional Konkani wedding in Italy

Lake Como, Italy, Nov 14 (Agencies) : Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh got married in a traditional Konkani wedding ceremony earlier in the day. The couple, who is now officially man and wife, has left fans desperate for photographs and videos from their dreamy wedding at Lake Como in Italy. While the couple themselves hasn't yet posted a photo from their wedding on social media yet, many inside photos from the GSB Konkani wedding, have now found their way to the internet.

The dead spell, it seems, has now come to an end. In the photos, that are now going viral across the internet, we see the bride and groom along with the guests have adhered to the shades of white and gold. Dressed in traditional attires, the closest family members look happy as the lovely Deepika and Ranveer tie the knot.

Security measures at the event locations have been compared to that provided for world leaders, with drone interceptors in the sky and guests being made to wear special wrist bands and scan unique QR codes on their phones to gain entry. Of course, pictures have been hard to come by.

Dipika is not GSB, she is Konkani Saraswat they use their village name as surname unlike Gowd Saraswat Brahmins. Like Karnad, Benegal, Kaikini & Hattangadi.

Deepika and Ranveer, both have huge fan base in India.
The wedding would have invited huge crowds uninvited and would have caused hell a lot of trouble to law keepers and public inconvenience. It was a right decision from their part to have a peaceful 'moment of lifetime' in Italy.

The second greatest and historic event after the 1947 Indian independence. No wonder the national press is concentrating 100% on this wedding as all other matters are trivial.

Don't worry. Your wish will be fulfilled. The GSB traditional wedding has taken place in Italy. Definitely the Bhavnani Sindhi traditional wedding will take place in Ayodhya (If not Gujarat) at Ram Mandir which is yet to be constructed.

    Mr. Ahmed...

    Hamare Desh...
Noooo. Not done. Obviously because there is no Ram Mandir to perform marriage rites. Modi has not kept his promise

Moreover it a tradition to carry the Hindutva flag and fly it high. But reality is that most Hindutva (so called) fly off to Christian countries for studies, jobs, holidaying & sightseeing, weddings & honey moons,

And here in India, Modi and team shout out from rooftops "Hindutva Hindutva..."

    No use. Yella time waste

Its better to have it in a foreign country otherwise our media will sneak in like cockroaches from all directions and ruin their day. Secondly it would have been a small gathering unlike back here where we are bound to call 1000+ guests, thereby converting a wedding into a concert.

On the other hand even if they had the wedding in India it wouldn't help in making the Rupee stronger!!! I do not understand how can you relate their wedding to weakening of the Rupee. Lol!!

Mr Naveen first study economics then you will understand how rupee will become weak when these weddings and other functions are held in foreign countries.

It's a personal choice and your stupid economics theory doesnt apply here. Use it for the actual Make in India initiative. Make in India has a different objective which need not be necessarily linked to a persons wedding . Let people make their choices it's none of your business!! Of course you can comment here and go on analyzing the weakening of the rupee due to their wedding that happened in Italy!!

Exactly. Your wealth is because of your fans. Once you become famous due to fans you owe to us. You sold your photo rights
for crores and what is this what I don't understand is gifts from attendees will go to charity. Madam why don't you marry in your father's hometown which is very beautiful like maravante beach and the difference of your Italy wedding do the charity.
