Mangaluru, Nov 14: Chikkamagaluru MLA C T Ravi on Wednesday, November 14 slammed the state government and alleged that it was following double standards in treating different communities.

Addressing media at district BJP office, he said, “The state government is following double standard in its administrations. It is following duel policies. If someone insults Hindu Gods, Vivekananda or Ram Mandir, the government does not react and sometimes also justifies it. But when someone exposes the cruel activities of Tipu Sultan, he is arrested. Journalist Santhosh Thammaiah’s arrest is the best example to prove it. He just spoke about Tipu’s autocratic rule. For this, a case was registered against him and in the midnight police arrested him. It clearly shows that how the government is handling people who speak truth. BJP condemns the arrest of Santhosh Thammaiah and stands with him.

“Everyone wonders that despite repeated hate comments and speeches, why the government not arresting Prof Bhagawan, Yogesh Master and Maheshchandra. We all know that naxalism is banned in India and supporting naxals is an offence. But some personalities like Girish Karnad publicly hold boards stating ‘I am an Urban Naxal’. Why the police and legal authorities mum on this? Why these people are protected by the government?

“Last time, the Congress government in the state misused Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for political gain. But this time, the coalition government went one step ahead and hijacked the CCB and COD. Through this, they are saving their corrupt leaders from facing the heat of law. Congress mocked note ban and GST. But many of their leaders are now praising note ban and GST. Congress leaders cannot digest the popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his vision for the country. Through note ban, India’s economy was strengthened. The flow of tax has increased. At the time of UPA government, only corruption took place. At the time of Congress, cheaters like Vijay Mallya and Nirav Modi got loans from banks. Congress helped them to get huge amount from bank,” he said.

MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and Puttur MLA Sanjeev Matandoor and others were present.

Ravi, as usual is lying. The journalist wasn't arrested for criticising Tipu (which Ravi and his party does all the time, even for a living). he was arrested for making derogatory comments on the prophet and indulging in hate speech against Muslims, and exhorting violence. If a Muslim youth had done even 10% of it, he would be in jail for months, if not years. There are numerous instances of youngsters languishing in jail for mere FB posts, which were not even remotely hateful. That said, what ravi is doing here is part of the party's strategy anyway. The intention is to stoke violence, and come to the rescue of every criminal who is remotely connected to the sangh parivar. Their MLAs even marched to support the man accused of raping an 8 year old in kathua. They come to the rescue of those who lynch. So this is all very much part of the larger strategy to create conflict, encourage hate speech and violence and come to power again

If someone has to learn the art of " VICTIMIZATION OF THE VICTIM" then you have to take classes from BJP. Such hyprocrites and bigots you can only find in BJP. If such provocative comments as made by this Chaddi journalist Santosh Thammaiah was done by any Minority, BJP would have burnt down Mangalore with its Chaddi Police. Minorities have to unite and empower otherwise be prepared to become a SECOND CLASS citizen of India. Manuvadi is in full throttle.
