Bhatkal, Nov 14: Three persons died on the spot after the car in which they were seated went wayward and hit a roadside mud wall in the early hours of Tuesday November 13.
The Mahindra Scorpio vehicle in which the trio was seated was moving on Honnavar-Gerusoppa road. When negotiating a steep bend on a slope, the car went aside and hit the roadside protective mud wall at considerable speed. Three from among the occupants of the vehicle instantly died on account of this accident.
The unfortunate victim of this accident happened to be Rubiya Basha Saab (42), Fatima Mustafa (65) and Babusab Abdulla (65), all from Anantpur near Sagar in Shivamogga district. Other occupants of the car, identified as Ameena, Rishan, Sara Bi, Qasim, Hajarabi and Abdul Khader suffered injuries. They stand admitted in different hospitals for treatment depending upon the gravity of their injuries.
