Mangaluru: Police arrest two persons, recover robbed items

Mangaluru, Nov 12: In connection with an incident wherein a person was robbed while walking beside the railway tracks at Jokatte in the city, personnel of Panambur and city (south) anti rowdy squad arrested two persons.

The arrested men happen to be Naushad alias Naushad Adam alias Naushu alias Bullet (25) and Muhammed Naufal alias Naufal alias Naufa (31), both residents of Casba Bengre here. The other accused, identified as Azhar is absconding the police said.

Rs 1,500 in cash, three cellphones, a two-wheeler, a knife and some other items totally valued at Rs 57,500 were recovered from the arrested persons.

It is said that when Fazal Khan was walking by Jokatte at 11 pm on November 9, the accused had arrived by two-wheeler, brandished their knife and robbed Rs 10,000 in cash and two cellphones. The case was registered at Panambur police station.
