Mangaluru: Inter collegiate cultural, literary competition 'Prerana’ at FMHMCH

Mangaluru, Nov 9: “Students should give importance to extra-curricular activities along with studies and Prerana is one such platform where students can exhibit the talents and skills,” with this inspiring message the chief guest Fr Edwin C Mascarenhas, principal, St Sebastian Pre-University College, Permannur inaugurated 10th Annual Inter Collegiate Cultural and Literary Competition - Prerana 2018 organised by Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College for the pre-university students of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts on Friday November 9 in the college auditorium, Deralakatte.

The programme began with prayer song followed by welcome address by Dr Shivaprasad K, principal. The programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by dignitaries on the dais and along with students’ representative from the participants.



Fr Sylvester Lobo, assistant administrator highlighted the history of Father Muller Charitable Institutions and the legacy of Father Muller’s in his presidential address. He invited students to develop leadership qualities and to take part in the competitions actively and thereby bring glory to their respective colleges.

Dr E S J Prabhu Kiran, vice-principal, Dr Girish Navada, deputy medical superintendent FMHMCH, Dr Vivek Sakthidharan, convenor – ‘Prerana – 2018’, Fr Felix Noronha, chaplain and other faculty members were present on this occasion.

Nandankrishna, president, Students’ Association delivered the vote of thanks.

Joanna Irwin and Ayesha Samzina compered the programme.

The programme concluded with institution anthem.
