Sullia , Nov 8: Chaithra Kundapur and six others, who had been arrested on October 24 after the gang's reported clash with another gang near Kashikatte at Subramanya in the taluk, were released after remaining in judicial custody for two weeks, on Wednesday November 7.
The fifth additional district court at Puttur had granted conditional bail to all the seven persons referred above on the evening of November 5. They had been directed to furnish a bond of Rs 50,000 and produce a surety in Sullia court in order to be released.

November 6 being a government holiday, the accused could not comply with the bail formalities. After they produced the copy of the bail granted by the Puttur court and complied with the bail formalities on Wednesday, they were released.
