Udupi: Nirmala English Medium School Brahmavar observes patriotic Kannada Rajyostsava

Udupi, Nov 3: Commemorating Karnataka Formation Day when all the Kannada language speaking regions of south India merged in 1956 to form Karnataka state, Nirmala English Medium School Brahmavar celebrated Kannada Rajyostsava on November 1 in multi coloured fashion.

The formal function began with a prayer.

The chief guest of the function, Alfons D’Souza, retired teacher and founding member of the school Bandavya Trust enriched the gathering with a message pertaining to Kannada Rajyotsava. He recalled the contribution of culture tradition and literature by the Kannadigas in Karnataka.



Molly D’Souza the founding member of the school Bandavya Trust, Fr Joslie D’Silva the headmaster, Prabhakar Acharya the PTA president and Subramanya Acharya, Parathap Lwise were the other dignitaries on the dais.

The students performed a cultural program. Serena from class X welcomed the gathering. Anup from class X proposed the vote of thanks.

All the children, parents, teaching and non-teaching staff attended the programme. After the cultural programme sports was conducted for the alumni and parents in view of the school's silver jubilee.
