Mangaluru: Computer Science workshop held at Sharada PU College

Mangaluru, Nov 1: A Computer Science workshop was organised by Dakshina Kannada Computer Science Lecturers’ Association in collaboration with Dakshina Kannada Pre-university Principals’ Association and Sharada Pre-university College was held in Sharada Pre-university College, Kodialbail, Mangaluru.

The president of Sharada Group of Educational Institutes Prof Puranik presided over the inauguration function. A day-long workshop was inaugurated by Nagarajappa M, DDPUE, D K by lighting the lamp. Addressing the gathering Nagarajappa said, “This workshop can contribute to the society when there is constructive discussions and exchange of ideas and information. Though computer science is a young subject, it has brought the world at our finger tips.”



Prof Puranik in his presidential address said that the teachers must inject the values of life in students and take up the responsibility of teaching them the pros and cons of the internet.

The chief guest K K Upadyaya gave a call to the lecturer’s to work with devotion and dedication towards better results.

Mahabhaleshwar Bhat, principal, Sharada PU College graced the occasion. Yashoda Kamath, secretary, DKPUCS Lecturer’s Association welcomed the gathering. Srinivas A, president DKPUCS Association delivered the key note address, Shubhavani, member of the association proposed the vote of thanks. The inaugural programme was compered by Anita Dsa, treasurer, DKPUCS Association. Ramesh Rao, vice president D K P U C Association, was present. Later the workshop was conducted by the office bearers of the DKPUCS Association and K P Srinivas, faculty government PU College, Balmatta.
