Mangaluru: Disease-free living is possible due to yoga, says Kudpi Jagadish Shenoy

Mangaluru, Nov 1: The valedictory function of the 10-day yoga camp that was being held under the leadership of Yogaratna Gopalkrishna Delampady and organized under the joint auspices of Shakti Residentail school, Shaktinagar, Shakti pre-university college and Sri Gopalkrishna temple was held at the hall of the the temple on the evening of Wednesday, October 31.

Speaking on the occasion, chief gurest of the event, Kudpi Jagadish Shenoy, president, Dakshina Kannada district hotel owners' association said, "I have resolved my own serious health conditions through yoga, mudra and pranayama. Yoga is the only solution to various diseases that affect our body. It is possible to live a long life through yoga."



Baikady Janardhan Achar, administrator of Shakti School said, "The Indian valuves were down due to the western culture. But it is restored because of the revival of yoga. Today the world has accepted yoga and implemented the same in school curriculum."

Stressing the importance of yoga in daily life, Yogaratna Gopalkrishna Delampady, said "It is possible to build a disease-free society through yoga. This goodness of yoga should be implemented by everyone in their daily life."

K C Naik, managing trustee of the temple, who presided over the function said, "Awareness should be brought in the society through yoga. Yoga is essential for mental and physical satisfaction."

Ashwitha A R, Sunil Lingaraje, Asha, Dr Eshwar Bhat, Mohan Bangera and Jayarama shared their experience with the audience. In total 75 people took part in this camp. All of them were given the certificates. Yoga teache demonstrated yoga through the people who participated in the camp.

Ramesh K, chief advisor of Shakti Education Trust was present on the dais. Krishnakumar, administrator of the temple welcomed the gathering. The vote of thanks was rendered by Prabhakar G S, principal of Shakti pre-university college.
