Udupi: Newly elected councilors felicitated, special bulletin ‘Samparka’ released

Udupi, Oct 21: Felicitation to newly elected councilors and release of special bulletin ‘Samparka’ by Zilla Alpasankyarara Vedike, Udupi district, was organized on Saturday, October 20 at Don Bosco Hall here.

President K P Ibrahim presided and welcomed the gathering. Edwin Joseph, pastor of Christ Church, Ambady Katpady was the guest of honour. He felicitated the councilors on behalf of Udupi Zilla Alpasankyarara Vedike. Adline Karkada from Malpe, Ashpak Ahmed from Kodi Kundapur and Jahira Abib from Saligram were felicitated.

Ashpak Ahmed Kodi thanked the members.

Adline Karkada said that she was earlier in Congress but active party workers like her were sidelined by leaders, so she had to leave Congress and join BJP. She promised to work for all.

‘Samparka’ magazine edited by Dr Gerald Pinto was released by Pastor Edwin Joseph. Secretary Charles Ambler proposed the vote of thanks. Alphonse D’Costa compered the programme. Sevrine D’Sa, vice president, Rashid Malpe former president, Ronald T Salins, project manager, Mission Hospital, Isaac Samuel, treasurer, and Louis Almeida, former president, were present.
