Two militants killed in Kashmir


Srinagar, Oct 19 (IANS): Security forces on Friday shot dead two militants on Friday in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla town.

Police said police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) signalled a vehicle to stop at Kralhar near the Khwaja Bazar railway station in the town.

The militants who were in the vehicle opened fire. In retaliation, the security forces fired back, killing both the militants.

"One AK-47 rifle and two pistols have been recovered from the slain militants," a police officer said.
