Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan blames RSS for Sabarimala attacks

Kochi, Oct 18(India Today): Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan today blamed the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) for the violence witnessed at Sabarimala temple yesterday, October 17 when the shrine opened for devotees. Pinarayi Vijayan said that the attackers enjoyed the backing of the RSS.

Protest against the entry of women of all age groups into the Sabarimala temple had turned violent at some places in Kerala. Journalists were also attacked by protestors. India Today reporter was also among those attacked.

In a series of tweets, Pinarayi Vijayan said, "Sabarimala has a uniqueness that other temples lack; it allows entry for people of all faith. Sangh Parivar and RSS have always been intolerant of this fact. They have made many attempts to erase this distinction of Sabarimala."

"The role they played in eliminating the rituals performed at Sabarimala by Adivasi-Malayaran community is common knowledge. The present troubles must be seen in this light. The RSS backed attackers are obstructing believers and spreading terror," he said.

Pinarayi Vijayan said, "These attackers are motivated by casteist and feudal ideologies. Encouraging such movements will eventually lead to the banishment of backward classes from places like Sabarimala. All believers must condemn this attack on Sabarimala."

The comments came on a day when several Hindu outfits called a hartal in Kerala to protest the decision to allow women of all age groups to enter the Sabarimala temple. Buses and auto-rickshaws stayed off the road today.

Protesters are opposing the Supreme Court judgment allowing the entry of women of menstrual age group into the Sabarimala temple. The protest turned violent at Nilackal yesterday. There were also clashes between the police and protesters. The police resorted to baton-charge.

Antharashtriya Hindu Parishad led by Parvin Togadia called for a hartal demanding that the Pinarayi Vijayan government should bring a law to overturn the Supreme Court verdict. A five-judge bench of the Supreme Court on September 28 had lifted the ban on women's entry into the Sabarimala temple declaring the relevant rules as unconstitutional.

BJP-RSS have always incited religious passions for political gains. Why wasn't CM Vijayan prepared for the BJP's response to the Sabarimala decision? A good leader would have been ready to respond to BJP's cynical exploitation of the Sabarimala judgement.

The RSS has always been claiming to be a Cultural organisation. in fact, they are wolves in sheeps clothing. They have scant respect for the Supreme Court ruling that was decided by a Bench of the Supreme Court headed by the Chief Justice. The BJP Govt in the centre that has the reponsibility of upholding the rule of law should advice the RSS and the BJP to desist from disturbing the peace in Kerala and should have by now issued an ordinance to suspend the court ruling. By dragging their feet on this issue they are encouraging their cadres in Kerala to indulge in roiting and breaking the law and disturbing the Peace in the state.

Togadia is asking the state Gove to bring a law to overturn the Supreme Court Judgement knowing fully well that only the Central Govt can issue an ordinance to suspend the Supreme Court order.

Federalism is being seriously harmed with all these actions.

    Antony
Law and order is a state subject. If the CM is unable to control the state law and order is unfit to rule. Let him resign and let Central Govt take over the law and order of the state. Why State Govt is not interested in filing a revision petition in Apex court ?

RSS openly backs the entry of women of all ages to Shabarimala temple.
Pinarayi can not take on the devotees directly. so he needs a name and conveniently he uttered RSS.
The devotees backed by Kerala BJP are protesting against SC order. Congress just missed a golden opportunity to grab falling out CPM votes. BJP is going to snatch majority of the CPM votes( Ayyappa devotees) in the next election.
Still, Congress is not the loser. Congress will win because BJP snatched CPM votes.
the loser will be Pinarayi Vijayan and his CPM!

The anti-God stand of communists in India is the main reason for the extinction of communism in India!!

If this is the case then no Hindu women should vote for BJP. Also majority of Hindu men who support SC verdict should not vote for BJP. Let few rowdy fanatics vote BJP. If BJP-RSS doesn't allow Hindu women to enter the temple as thier right and if BJP is not making suitable arrangements and adjustments and not making the conditions viable for Hindu women to practice thier faith then BJP's preaching for the Hindus, to the Hindus and by the Hindus is nothing but a deceptive and mere vote bank politics. Chowkidaar Feku and lieutenant Daku are mum and controlling everything from rat hole.
