Shivamogga: By-polls to decide JD(S)-Congress alliance's future – CM H D Kumaraswamy

Shivamogga, Oct 16: The upcoming by-polls of three Lok Sabha seats and two Assembly seats, will decide the fate of JD(S)-Congress alliance, said Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy.

Addressing reporters at Shivamogga on Tuesday, October 16, Kumaraswamy expressed confidence on Congress-JD(S) nominee Madhu Bangarappa being elected as MP, and also said that the candidate is like a brother to him.

“By-polls strengthens alliance and is not an electoral battle between two individuals,” he added.

When questioned on BJP using the Hindutva agenda to fight elections, Kumaraswamy said that the present government has done more to safeguard the interests of Hindus. Also, BJP is not the sole owner of Hindutva. We too are Hindus, he asserted.

    What ' decide future'? Boss, you a 3rd ranker with 35 seats, whose more than 70 candidates lost deposit .Your party had /has no future. Its just because of Cong you have become the 'King' instead of the 'King maker'. Please do not go overboard. Cong is already regretting this blunder .

    Hindutva card can make huge difference in upcoming elections. As it is the only and last option left with BJP to screw up the people.People should think twice before they vote. In my opinion people should not worry about God and religion but worry about own future. Fight for your rights and to get better facilities. At least Kapda, Rotti and Makan.
