Mumbai: Charkop Kannadigara Balaga celebrates nineteenth anniversary

Mumbai, Oct 15: Charkop Kannadigara Balaga Kandivli celebrated its 19th anniversary and held Sharada Puja for 2018 at Haryana Bhavan, Charkop, Kandivli on Sunday October 14.

Billava Chamber of Commerce and Industry executive president N T Poojary, Gokul Ice Cream proprietor Ganesh G Kamath, Bunts Sangha Mumbai Jogeshwari Dahisar regional committee president Ravindra S Shetty, Balaga trustee members Jaya C Shetty, Bhasker Sarapady, M S Rao, vice president Krishna T Ameen and Padmavati B Shetty were on the dais.



Annual Adyaru Nandiguthu Thimmappa Shetty Memorial Award was presented to entrepreneur and social worker Suresh R Kanchan, K K Suvarna Memorial Award to artiste Nagaraj Gurupura, Bharathi Kodlekar Award to senior artiste Shailini Rao and Dr Arun Rao couple.

Malad Kannada Sangha president Harish N Shetty, member of Charkop Kannadigara Balaga, who was awarded international person of the year 2018 in antarrastriya samskritika saurabha programme held by Global Peace Foundation, Kaveri Kannada Sangha and ICF organizations, Gopal Trasi and film director Raghavendra Hegde were felicitated.

Joint secretary Vasanti U Salian welcomed the gathering. M Krishna A Shetty delivered the keynote address. Honorary chief secretary Raghunath N Shetty introduced the guests and compered the programme. Gopal Trasi and Roshni Acharya compered the cultural programme.
