Moodbidri, Oct 14: A 53-year-old pigmy collector committed suicide by hanging self at his residence here on Sunday October 14.
The deceased has been identified as Panduranga Dange, a resident of Vishalnagar.
Though the exact reason for the extreme step is yet to be ascertained, it is learnt that he was under depression for the last few days.
He is survived by his wife and three sons.
Panduranga was involved in several activities with local associations and was also a drama artiste. For his social service, he was felicitated by Rotary Club.
